We offer full UFC coverage, every major football game, plus complete seasons of NBA basketball, MLB baseball, soccer, and more. If you want to see it, just ask and we probably have it.

Our Story

Nestled in Portland's historic Slabtown neighborhood. A once-gritty, working-class district named for its 19th-century lumber mills that churned out wood slabs, Yur's Bar & Grill stands as a timeless neighborhood staple at 717 NW 16th Avenue. Our building dates back to 1884, originally constructed as a cellar and stables in what was then a bustling industrial area. By 1969, it transformed into Yur's Bar & Grill, serving as a local watering hole for decades amid Slabtown's evolution from mill town to the vibrant, eclectic Northwest District it is today.

In 1997, former Washington Redskins offensive lineman Terry Hermeling, a NFL veteran from the 1970s who played in Super Bowl VII, purchased the spot and gave it a fresh start with the same name and vibes.

Now co-owned with his son Cody, we've kept the unpretentious dive-bar soul alive: no windows to track time, pool tables, pinball, and TV's lining the walls with every major sports game you could want. We're proud of our family-run vibe, killer food like our wings and Prime Rib Thursdays, strong drinks, and that genuine "Cheers" welcome where regulars span generations.

Over the years, we've weathered changes, but remained a safe, inclusive hub for sports fans, day drinkers, and night owls.
